We are seeking an innovative and passionate Scientist – Advanced Actives & Delivery Systems to develop next-generation delivery technologies for cosmeceutical and personal care ingredients.
The role involves researching, designing, developing, and optimizing advanced delivery platforms to enhance the stability, bioavailability, skin penetration, and efficacy of active ingredients. The position will play a key role in translating natural, science-backed actives into differentiated, high-performance solutions for global cosmetic and dermatological markets.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in encapsulation technologies, lipid-based delivery systems, nanotechnology, and topical formulation science, along with a passion for innovation and IP creation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Advanced Delivery System Development
Act as a technical expert in the design and development of advanced delivery systems for cosmeceutical actives.
Develop innovative delivery platforms including:
Lamellar delivery systems
Liposomes
Nanoemulsions
Microemulsions
Solid Lipid Nanoparticles (SLN)
Nanostructured Lipid Carriers (NLC)
Polymeric nanoparticles
Encapsulation technologies
Controlled-release systems
Improve stability, solubility, bioavailability, and skin penetration of active ingredients.
Evaluate compatibility of delivery systems with natural extracts and bioactive compounds.
Support the translation of science-backed actives into differentiated and high-performance cosmetic solutions.
Characterization & Scientific Evaluation
Design and execute characterization studies including:
Zeta potential measurement
Encapsulation efficiency assessment
Stability studies
Controlled release evaluation
Skin permeation studies
Bioavailability assessments
Analyze and interpret experimental data.
Prepare technical reports and scientific documentation to support research and development activities.
Ensure scientific rigor and accuracy in all testing and evaluation processes.
Skin Science & Efficacy Validation
Collaborate with external laboratories, academic institutes, and research partners for:
Franz diffusion studies
Skin penetration studies
In-vitro efficacy testing
Cell culture studies
Clinical substantiation studies
Apply knowledge of skin biology and barrier function to optimize active delivery systems.
Support efficacy validation and performance substantiation of developed technologies.
Innovation & Intellectual Property Development
Monitor emerging scientific developments and advancements in delivery technologies and cosmeceuticals.
Identify opportunities for proprietary technologies and patentable innovations.
Support patent drafting, invention disclosures, and scientific publications.
Contribute to the development of long-term technology roadmaps and innovation strategies.
Drive ideation activities focused on advanced active delivery and product differentiation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with formulation scientists, analytical teams, regulatory affairs, marketing, and business development teams.
Provide technical support for customer interactions, technical discussions, and scientific presentations.
Participate in conferences, workshops, and technology scouting initiatives.
Ensure effective communication and coordination across project stakeholders.
