The QA/QC Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality and food safety standards, in compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements. The role oversees the entire quality function—including QA systems, QC operations, audits, documentation, and continuous improvement—while supporting production teams to deliver consistent, safe, and compliant products.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Quality systems & compliances
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, BRC, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, GHP, and other regulatory standards.
- Oversee documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and records control.
QA Activities
- Lead HACCP studies, risk assessments, and validations.
- Monitor CCPs, OPRPs, and GMP practices across the facility.
- Manage supplier approval programs, RM/PM specifications, and COA verification.
- Handle customer complaints, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive actions.
QC Operations
- Supervise routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Ensure adherence to sampling plans, analytical methods, and test procedures.
- Validate laboratory equipment, calibration, and maintenance.
- Monitor microbiological, chemical, and sensory evaluation processes.
Audit and Certifications
- Prepare for and lead internal, external, and customer audits.
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings with CAPA implementation.
Production Support
- Work closely with production teams to ensure process control and quality consistency.
- Establish quality standards for new products and support trials.
- Review batch sheets, process deviations, and non-conformities.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and develop QA/QC staff.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure competency across the team.
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulatory norms, and QA/QC methodologies.
- Proficiency in lab testing, process control, and documentation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and audit-handling skills.
- Leadership and team management capability.

Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in Science or Food Technology.
Min 5 years of experience in relevant field.
