We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead business development, manage client relationships, and drive revenue growth in both domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the spices and food ingredients industry, with proven expertise in sales strategy, marketing, and customer relationship management.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Management
- Identify, target, and acquire new clients across international and domestic markets.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential customers through consistent communication and engagement.
- Understand customer requirements, market trends, and competitor activities to formulate effective sales strategies.
- Drive growth in export markets while expanding the company’s domestic presence.
Sales & Marketing
- Proactively promote company products to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Develop and execute marketing plans, participate in trade shows, and explore new market opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to secure profitable business deals.
- Provide accurate and timely price quotations (within 24 hours) ensuring product costing aligns with business objectives.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Present regular sales progress and market insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Customer Service & Account Management
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and complaints (within 24 hours), ensuring effective issue resolution.
- Verify and process customer contracts, agreements, and purchase orders accurately.
- Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and maintain a healthy receivables cycle.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth order execution and on-time delivery.
- Share customer feedback and market insights with internal teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Sales (preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Sales & Marketing within the spices or food ingredients industry.
- Strong exposure to international trade and exports.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to lead, influence, and drive performance in a dynamic business environment.
